Katie .H. Hughes is a soulful singer-songwriter. Always a wonderer, living everywhere from Southern England, to the Orkney Islands. Now rooted in Glen Clova, Scotland, where she has found her home and the inspiration for a lot of the music she now creates. 

A multi-instrumentalist, Katie works in the space between close acoustic storytelling and something considerably bigger, folding modern classical lines into alternative folk and building the whole thing up on stage with piano, viola, vocals and live looping. 

With a degree in Music Education, Katie blends classical musicianship with heartfelt songwriting. 

Her songwriting explores life, memory and emotion with honesty. Listeners can expect poetic lyrics, textured instrumentation and performances that invite people to slow down and truly listen. 

Katie's work has been likened to influences such a John Martyn, Eva Cassedy, Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Joni Mitchel, Tori Amos & Carole King, blending lyrical sensitivity with rich, atmospheric arrangements.
